Salam and hello to my lecturer,Puan Wan Nur Ashiqin and all my friends.This is my second task.I need to post a comment about my experience listening Prof.David Crystal's recording.First time the topic that i choosed is 'IN YOUR DREAM' and i become blur when i finished listening to a recording.I don't understand all the recorder speaking.I also can't catch up an indication what a recorder want to tell,but i never give up.I repeat for a second time,i also can't understand.I tried to increased the volume to got more focus but it's still same,blur.I need to listen again and again untill i can understand all.You know what,i had listen to a recording for a 5 time,but i just got a little bit understand.After that, my spirit become down.I felt that english conversation is very hard to learn.Finally, i opened the transcript and read for one time only and i had understand what the recorder want to tell.Actually it's easy to understand but the recorder pronounce the word used their dialect.For example in Malaysia,we have kelantan dialect and north dialect.Eventhough it's hard i got the benefit because i learned a few new words such as "accolade".
Second times i went to a cyber cafe to listened again,i choose a topic a "NETIZEN" and "WYSIWYG".In my second time,i just listen for 3 times only.It's show an increasing.After that i saw the transcript and it's same like what i am understand.If i know the bbc web can help me to learn english,i had done before this.I think this bbc web must use in every primary school because we must to educate from a children and it's carefree when we become a adult.Now,i quick to understand the recording.Truly i said this is my best experience got an oppurtunity to heard the Prof David Crystal's recording.After this i want to hear again and again in a different topic.I hope you all have enjoy to listen the recording and get the new experience.That all......bye2
assalamualaikum again and vert good evening to my beloved teacher Puan Wan Nur Ashiqin and all my friends.This is my second assignment task 2.I listen to Prof. David Crystal again ,and the topic is 'in your dream',i was much easier to understand compare to the task 1.I can understand dialog from Prof. David Crystal.I just listen to it about 2 times only and can guest what the dialog all about.I think this assignment was improve my listening skill in English .so bye

Good afternoon,i have choose"Kate Moss" as my second task ! This task is more difficult than the one i listen before ! The transcript about the task is not full ,just about the keystone ! As a result, it become difficult to me ! I have listen to the task a few time but still can't get all the task say ! Finally, i give up ! So difficult to learn english, look like need learn it from basic ! That all , good bye !

for the first time listening, i can understand certain words..it is too fast for someone beginner like me. again i repeat the recorder, i can guess what was he talking about but not the whole text.it's four times repeated to get the idea.then i read the transcript while listening..almost the same..
this program train me to listen carefully and try to understand not word by word but to get an idea what it is about..perhaps it too fast or pronunciation a bit different..

for this second task i choosed to listened about topic of motorolla which was about handsets. i was listened it for three times. for the first time i listened to that topic i felt a bit funny. not because of that topic but it was about the pronunciation.i only understand when i repeat for the three times. i admit that when malay people say some words with their own way, it make others to not understand what they talk about. in this topic i was found lot of new words so every time i read or listened to something new, i got some of new words that i can use it.
Salam and hello to my lecterur,Puan Wan Nur Ashiqin and all my friends.First of all,thanks god because give me an idea to write in this blog again.I had choose a topic WYSIWYG in Prof David Crystal's website.The WYSIWYG it's mean what you see is what you get,for example in computing it's mean that what you see on the screen is what you get in the output.First time listen this topic,i can't understand.As usual,i still blur at the first time.It's because i seldom heard european language.After i finished listen,i read a transcript.I'm very surprised because it's very easy to understand.just for one time read,i can understand what a recorder want to tell.I'm confused,why i can't understand when i listen for a conversation?.The question is always in my mind.After I had finished read a transcript i listen again and i can understand very well.In my opinion,this website is very helpful for who want improve their english.Beside that,i can learn new vocabulary such as APPEARE,ACCOLADE,EXPECT,ACRONYM and etc.Before this i don't know the meaning of this words,after i listen this recording i know already.Now i'm so confident to speak up in audience.I think this website can help who want to take a MUET's examination.Honestly if i know this website before this,maybe i can pass an exam.It's give me an advantanges and more knowledge.After this i want listen again and again because more practise make me more perfect.That all..thank you.
assalamualaikum..i have finish my task 2.I listen about Hina.This task i more easy compare to task 1.At the first listening,i can understand what they talk.It's easy to me maybe because in task 1 is quite difficult to me to understand and that teach me to more focus and improve my listening.After that i listen again with transcript and it make me more understand.I enjoy with this assignment,it improve my listening..
assalamualaikum...teacher and all my friend's.i'm finish listen to prof. david criystal recording.first time i am listen the he recording i feel very dificult to understand what he say,he speaks very fast.i'm cannot to catch what the mean he say.but after i readed the transcript and i listen the recording for many time i feel better before that.i can many new wacabulary after i read this recording.i hope the my knowlegde increase after listen this recording....
Assalamualikum and selamat sejahtera to my lecterur, Madam Wan Nurasyiqin and also to all my friends. I'm just wanna share with all of you about my experience in our assighment 2 for task 2. For this second task, i've listened to the topic an entertainment, "best friend'. For me, the task 1 that i've listened to Profesor David Crystal recording was harder compared to this task where David Crystal was quite hard to understand because of the slang and he talked quite fast, i've listened for fourth time. But, in this task, i can understand the whole topic for two times only. They didn't spoke too fast and i can catch up every single word that they said, but, i can't understand a bit word, so i have to find out what is the meaning of that word and i also found new words. So, by this task, it can help me a lot, especially in my grammar.That's all..Thank you..

I choose the title ‘chav’ from Professor David Crystal. At the first time I listen it. It quit difficult to me to understand what he talking about. I don’t know what he talking about. But when I repeat and repeat against, I can understand it. I can hear he said chav. So, I think that I need to improve my listening. And always listen the listening that use the British’s slang.

The title that I chosen “Cell” . In this topic ,The Prof.David Crystal spoke very fast sometime. After I heard a few time , I can know what he told about. In this topic, have a new word that I don’t know. That is monastery. After I found dictionary, I knew it mean the place that the monk live.
assalamualaikum,this is for task 2 blog's exciment.I choose the 'euro' topic.For me this is a harder task than before because i don't get the word when he start to speak like a bullet.haha.Maybe i don't look for the transcript.After three times I hear, i read the text,then i get what the Prof david Crystal says.so with this exciment i can learn how the british or uK style.It also as a medium to us to start use the proper pronounciation with confident,of course..ok thats all..Thanks

In task 2, I chose the topic about French protest against English language. This topic is same like news when I listen. This is about a group of French trades unionists and language pressure groups have joined French MPs to appeal to French businesses to stop using English in the workplace, whether on email, the telephone or just by using English words such as the job, the newsletters or the web.
Unusually for a man of the right, the troops following him into battle are trade unionists and language pressure groups, united in a new French resistance. The enemy is the English language.
From this, The new word that I listen is:
1-skirmish= short argument, little battle
2-impose= force other people to accept their own ways, beliefs or ideas
3-creeping back=slowly returning, gradually reappearing
4-infiltrated=became part of something very gradually or without being noticed, in order to change or even harm it - here, English has become a part of French music.
5-a huge blow= a big upset, deep disappointment, a heavy set back
6-a man of the right= a man whose political views are conservative rather than liberal or left wing
I had listened to the radio for assignment 2 last week. Actually, I couldn't listen very clear to what Professor had spoken. He spoke very fast and pronounces some words in different ways. When I listened for the first time, i had a problem to understand and hear some words. I try for a second time. But I’m still had the same result. So, I’m tried again for 5 to 10 times, sadly I just had understood a little bit more. But for the last time I listen, I can guess what that task means. So, after open the script. Happily, that is right, even some paragraph I had wrong.
"Cell" is the title that I had read. Mobile phone is called by UK people. In United States, a different term emerged “cell phone”. In my opinion, mobile phone is useful for people nowadays. Students of a college use the mobile phones to contact their friends or receive some latest news from theirs college. Besides that, businessman can communicate with their working partners from the global by using the mobile phone. They just need to press a few buttons then can have a talk to them. It doesn't cost people at an expensive price. In fact, our global now is full of technology means that 3G-mobile phone can let us see each other through the screen. In other words, we need not to travel for a long distance to meet them. Moreover, we can save our money and time by this way, am I right? In addition, mobile phone is progressive now because people can use it to browse latest information without using computer. Mobile phone's cost is quite cheap. People can bring theirs mobile phones from one place to other place easily because its size is quite small. We can find that every people have their own mobile phone in everywhere. Finally, I wish that people can use it in the proper ways. Don't let the mobile phone become a criminal tool for the coming future.
assalamualaikum to our beloved teacher and my beloved friends. i was hear 'in your dreams' from prof david crystal and when i heard for a 1st time, its very complicated to understand. maybe it is because sounds from syadi's laptop not very clear and maybe it is a cheap laptop but i use the laptop to.. haha... the content in what i heard is mainly about dreams. dreams dreams dreams. but if i heard all of the things in this website, i think i can improve my english. the new word that i never heard before this is 'muttering'. =)
Assalamualaikum.. For the second task I choose the title 'In your dream' for my second task still same title from 1 task I had done before. At this task is a very difficult to understand. I must carefully to do this task and tried to catch up what the Prof. David Crystal’s. I have to listen to Prof. David Crystal’s recording in concentrate situation. I am not a good listener, when I want to understand this story what his talking about, I will listen 4th time to really got the key words and another words I am not understand. As a result I had to listen several times and got some piece of paper to write down a new words and key words in his speech. I tried to find the meaning in every words I not understand. I hope someday I will be come a good listener in English not for listener only but in presentation.
Assalamualaikum, for the next task, I listen the ‘In your dream’ recording. The story is all about dream. I always had happy dreams when I sleep, but this recording make my dreams became nightmare. The story is very complicated to understand and I hear the recording many time to understands but slowly to know the key word. The word and the speech is very high class and had the ‘flower word’ likes SILAT GAYONG before start fight, ha..ha….ha…heh. I can’t understands many word from the recording, when I refer the dictionary, it give many meanings. At last I finally understand what did the story want to tell. I hope when I talk with foreigner, he never speech like that.
Dear Madam and fellow friends. I would like to write my opinion on the online listening practice for the task 2. For the second task I choose another topic, ‘cell’. Compared to the first listening activity this time I can catch up by what I listen. Even though I manage to understand by what they saying but sometimes I had a difficulty to pronounce some words .For example the words like synchoronise and monastery are very hard to pronounce. I also learned some new vocabulary through this topic. Besides that, I also get to know some spelling mistakes where I usually make. Trough this website I recalled how to spell some words like synchoronise, where I have heard about the word but don’t know how to spell it before this. Other than that, I’m still having difficulties in pronouncing some words properly as how in this website. I will try my best to pronounce all the words that I’ve learned in this website. I’ve improved a lot trough this website.
We can’t compare other websites with this wonderful website, where we have to pay to log on. When I read an article in English I only can improve the vocabulary where I don’t know how to pronounce that word. In a nutshell ,I have learned a lot though this online listening practice.

So, now I want to talk about word of 'netizen'. It's mean of an internet citizen or that is, a citizen of the internet, an internet citizen.
'Netizen' for short, somebody who lives their whole life there.
If we want to know are we the netizen see of our freind if their names use @ or not. If it's so we one of them. A netizen!

then i listern by 3 times to understand but oly little bit i'm understood.because i can't pay full attention because i do this assignment at Cyber cafe and it so noisy with the game sounds of the children here..so at last i listern by reference to the trancript and i wonder understand the topic.from this,i can improve my listerning skill and i hope this asignment will be prepare for the next year..thank you..
