assalamualaikum and very good morning to my lecture puan Wan Nur Ashiqin and all my friends.I was write my second assignment task 1.According to the paper that the teacher gave,i must write down my opinion on my listening experience on Prof. David Crystal.For the first time the topic i choose was bling.For the first time i listen i don't understand what Prof. David Crystal mention about the bling.I repeat listen to it about 4 times and going to understand a little bit.Finally i read the transcript and found that it same that what was i understand.
I think the this web site was very useful to the student to improve their English skill.
Assalamualaikum and very good good morning to my beloved teacher Puan WAn Nur'ashikin and also my friends.In this task, all faundation's student should listening what Prof. David Crystal said and write down opinions for listening experience. For the first time i listen to the task i don't understand what he say but just little bit. So,i listen again without open transcript and i try more harder to understand.After that, i understand more than first time.To get more understanding i listen three more time before read the transcript. Finally, i found that it same that what i was understand.I think this web site help me improve on my listening and reading skill also..Thank!!!
Good afternoon, I have select "In your dreams" as my task ! I have listen to this task more than one time but still get some word about what the task ! And can only get all when listen and read the transcript together about two times ! Besides that , can listen all the task not mean understand meaning what the task say ! I have read the transcript a few time again and also find dictionary for the words I don't know ! Finally I get it , feel happy ! Haha.....

for the first time i listen,i can't catch up what he trying to say..perhaps it too fast..besides the pronunciation a bit different. i try again and again until four times but still don't get it..but only a couple of phrase and not the whole text i understand..after that i read the transcript while listening then i get it..
wah!so difficult for me..maybe i need to listen word by word..this experience taught me something..learn more! read more!
I was listening to David Crystal just now. I choosed about "blog". For me, this David Crystal is quite easy to understand. I had listened almost all, and most of them are easy for me to understand. I had choose "blog' because it is related to me as a student of set 11 which is I have to write about many things in that blog. David Crystal was right, he said that blog is just like diary writing or bulletin post. Blog is almost like a diary for those who write in it for almost everyday. Now there are many using of blog especially by radio station like Era.fm, Hot.fm, Fly.fm.
Now, I know more about the using of blog. It's not just the place that we can put everything about unsatisfied or anything that related to it, but its also one of the way to learn something from others. And start from now, let get something more benefit when writing the blog. For me, it is more to encourage me to write in English often
assalamualaikum...this assignment i have to listening what Prof. David Crystal said.For this task i choose bling.For the first time i listen,i try to understand what he talk about.After that i repeat listening for 3 times.After try and try to understand,finally i read the transcript because i only get a little bid understand after 3 times repeat listening.After read the transcript, i understand what it's about.I also find the meaning using dictionary because some of word in transcript i don't know.It's quite difficult to understand,but i have try my best.
Salam and have a nice day to all of you.This is my second blog assignment.For me, this is a good website.We can learn English with fun,so,we can improve our English.I have choose the topic"Get A Life" from Prof. David Crystal Speech.The word that he use is quite easy and possible for me to listen it.I listen it for two times and i get the meaning and I know what he want to explain.Finally, i open the transcript and I read it.It's same.These website is very useful for people want to improve their English.For me, it's better than we listen the English song,because sometime they use a broken word.So,use these website almost to excellent in English.
Assalamualikun and selamat sejahtera to our class teacher, madam Wan Nurasyiqin and also to all beloved friends.Here, i'm just wanna share with all of you about my experience in assighment 2 for the task 1,Prof.David Crystal.I've choose the "cell" topic.Seriously,for the first time i hear the recording,i did'nt understand anything.I can't catch up every single word he say,i ask myself,what he say?Then,i try hear for the second time.This time, there was a bit improvement, i can catch up a bit word,and start understand what he's trying to tell all the listener.Then,i hear for the third time and finally, i can understand the whole story after read the transcript.Actually it is about the cellular phone, but,after shortened,it became cell phone.For me, it is not easy to understand what people trying to tell us if they come from other country,especially, people who's came from United kingdom and Amerika because their slang was very different compared to our slang.I think, this website very good for the student who want to improve their english especially in the listening skill and also for the beginning learner of English Language.So,i will always use this website to improve my english,and hopefully,it will help me alot.Thank You...

I had surf BBC at the 2weeks ago,but now i must settlethe assignment.I'm just wanna share with all of you about my experience for the task 1,in Prof.David Crystal blog.
I prefer to listen about "Moscow threatens to aim missiles at Europe". When i listen for the first time,i had lose some word and i'm not clearly understand what he said about.He spoke a little slangly, like word 'pretty stormy,cold war and hypocrisy' So,i'm tried for the 4 to 5 time. After that i can understand what it's means but i still lost someword like 'poured scorn'hypocricy,it's some new word for me when I read though the text. before read the text,I tried to guess,but not all of blurword i got the true means. I thinks it's still good because I can understand what is that mean althrough I repeat it for many times. I feel that my english is on improve and it's better than I was had in last semester.

Good evening to my lecturer and my classmate. I was listened to Prof.David Crystal a few day ago, because of I could not post my comment, so I late to post it. When I listen the sound, the “ get a life, get a life” was very clear for me. Because the title that I took was “ Get a Life”. Actually I not understood after heard a few time, so I read the transcript and listen again. Then I could caught what Prof.David Crystal was saying.
Assalamualaikum , this is for my second blog's exciment emm,I choose a 'cred' topic which short for credibility.After i have listen for the prof. David Crystal text, i dont get the whole story and what it is about.But there is a some paragraph that i can understand the issues.I had hear for three times and i get what the text is about.Maby this text i sqiut easy to hear what he says.After i read and hear the text then I know the pronounsation
and the good speaking intonation.I think if have listen to many english program such at the radio , movie, and something like think, we can improve our English as well.

Especially to my beloved teacher Madam Wan Nur Ashiqin and all my friends. Here I want to write about the listening from Dr.Cristal.
There have a few new words like bling,bless,blog,cell,cred,wysiwyg and many more. All of that I had listed for three and five times. First of my listening, I could not got the pronounce which had been reading by Dr. Cristal. Then,when I repeated it for twice and many more, it came so easy. That is because most of the words came from our new era. For example is BLOG. It is came from abbreviation of the word 'web log'. It was appear when we use it nowaday in our life.
Some of another words came from the artist like bling. It was used by the rappers in their song to show of material thing which worth a good amount of money.
My conclusion is this activities can make me know new words and learn to practice my lip to read with good pronounce.
Assalamualaikum to my beloved teacher and to all my friends..Hi..We meet again. I already finish for assignment 1 and now I want to continue for the assignment 2. Assignment 2 is more difficult than assignment 1 because we must listen to the audio and try to understand without refer to the transcript. In assignment 2 tasks 1, I choose the topic ‘get a life’. First time when I listen the audio I don’t know anything and I can’t understand what the record try to talk about. I still can’t predict the meaning of the record although twice and many time I listen it. Prof. David talk so fast and I can’t catch it .Then, I try to read the transcript for the first time and I can understand well than I listen without refer the transcript. At the same time, I try to make a comparison before I read the transcript and after I read the transcript while I listen the record. The result is, I can’t understand when only listen the audio. I must listen the audio and at the same time I need to refer the transcript.
I find a new word that I don’t know the meaning and this is first time I find that word. The word is:
1. Derogatory- If we make a derogatory remark or comment about someone or something, we express our low opinion of them
2. Existence- The existence of something is the fact that it is present in the world as a real thing
3. Jocular- If we say that someone has a jocular manner, that meannthey are cheerful and often make jokes or try to make people laugh.
4. Decades- A decade is a period of ten years, especially one that begins with a year ending in 0, for example 1980 to 1989
assalamualaikum to our beloved teacher and my beloved friends. i was hear 'in your dreams' from prof david crystal and when i heard for a 1st time, its very complicated to understand. maybe it is because sounds from syadi's laptop not very clear and maybe it is a cheap laptop but i use the laptop to.. haha... the content in what i heard is mainly about dreams. dreams dreams dreams. but if i heard all of the things in this website, i think i can improve my english. the new word that i never heard before this is 'muttering'. =)

For this task, i had choosed pop-star-the new fashion designer by prof. David Crystal.as all of you said, its quite hard to understand. at least i must hear the record for 3 times to understand about that whole topic. here i give you a few vocabulary i had learned in this topic.
1.a blatant attempt to make money – an obvious attempt to make money
2.a stab to get a bit of longevity – an attempt to make your career last longer.
3.to cut out the middle-man – to sell directly to your costumer.
4.a bit of a flop – a bit f a failure.
5.camp – outrageous.
6.mum-sy – old-fashioned, safe, frumpy
7.to tie in with – to match.
I enjoyed learning English in this web. I learned more words that I didn’t found before..
In my point of view, frankly I think that this section is a little bit tough and more difficult than the first assignment that you gave me. I have to listen to Prof. David Crystal’s recording. As you can see I am very bad at listening to other English conversation, because I have to understand every single word that came out and more over the speed of Prof. David Crystal’s talking is way to fast and the word that he used is more advanced for me to understand. As a result I had to listen several times and write down a few new words that I found in his speech. To my surprise they are at least 20 words that I do not know its meaning and I have to take a lot of time using my dictionary to find out each words meaning. Words like unrealistic and pronouns are some of the example of new words that I found in his speech. As a conclusion, the task that you give me really hard in advancing my vocabulary.
Assalamualaikum, after I hear the Prof. David Crystal’s recording, I can’t understand many word from his speech. The language is very high standard and the speech is very fast. As you know that, I’m very bad at listening and I had to take time to understand the speech. I think, If him talk to me, maybe I will become crazy. I must refer at dictionary every time I listening the word and pronouns. For conclusion the task for listening is hard and to take time to understand. That all for me…..Thank you.
Dear Pn.Wan Nur Ashiqin and my fellow friends. By the way this is my second assignment which is individual online listening and writing. This is the first time I’m log on to this website and I found out that this website is one of the easiest way to learn English and the proper pronunciation. According to the instructions I choose the topic ‘bling’. At first it was very difficult to understand. Because the way they pronounce the words is quite difference from what I usually pronounce. Then I tried listen to another topic, ‘bless’. The same problem occurred in this topic. I listen for few times.Then only I realize that the way I pronounce some words are totally wrong. This website gives a rough idea on how to pronounce some English words in proper manner. Besides that I also found a lot of new words in this website. Finally I read out the tapescript. What a great shock for me, because the some sentence in the tapescript are totally different from what I heard.For sure I’ll log on to this website whenever I’m free to learn what the proper pronunciations are. As a conclusion I was benefited a lot by this website. Thank you.
